Decolonising leadership: walking the talk

In June 2024, Tandem held its closing retreat in Bangkok. Luminaries Heba Aly, journalist and former CEO of The New Humanitarian; Carlos Mejia, organisational development and leadership consultant; and Alice Ruhweza, Senior Director, Policy Influence and Engagement, WWF, joined our leaders in Bangkok yesterday for a lively and thought-provoking discussion, led by ODI‘s Director of Global Advisory Sasha Kapadia. Probing what it means for the humanitarian and development sector to shift power dynamics, this far-reaching dialogue provides guidance on how to uplift the voices and views of those traditionally left out in order to make more informed decisions that lead to durable solutions.
